Crazylegs - Assault Trooper

Crazylegs was the one figure I can think of that had a molded on helmet that I wished had been removable. Something about that red, round helmet was just a little silly.

Using BoShek from the Star Wars Miniatures, I was able to get my wish.

Now that I think about it. If you put Crazylegs' round helmet on BoShek and make it black, he'd look like a Spaceball.

Cutter - Hovercraft Pilot

Another Mystery Mini from the same eBay auction!

Cutter was one of those Joes that didn't see a lot of action outside of his vehicle. He showed up a bit more in the cartoon, but to me he was always just "Boat Guy".

When I picked up this mini, I wasn't sure who it would be (like the last one.) The backpack made me think of Cutter's life jacket so I tried to go somewhere down the middle.

For once, I think I managed to get one of these guy's moustaches right.

Rock 'n Roll - Machine Gunner

It's Mystery Miniature Time!

I'm not sure who made this mini. I got it with another off eBay and didn't think to look at the base closely before I glued the sucker down so...mystery mini!

Rock 'n Roll was the originally machine gunner for the team, and one of the more well defined early characters. A surfing, weight lifting, bass guitar playing machine gunner.

I originally picked this min thinking it might work as LRRP Snake Eyes but when I saw it had a beard I switched over to Rock 'n Roll. I swear I've seen him in a hat like that before.

Until painting this mini, I never noticed the gold on Rock 'n Roll's pockets. Another little minor detail that I appreciate now.

Side Note: Micro Force Mercer

I'm a little behind on my mini painting, but look at this:

I really dig the G.I. Joe Micro Force figures. And I really, really hope they get at least one more series but who knows.

I have most of the figures, but there are some I don't need\want. So, instead of having a bunch of duplicates, I decide to convert Duke to Mercer. Other than the long sleeves, I'd say it makes a better Mercer than a Duke.

Alley-Viper - Cobra Urban Trooper

Alley-Viper? Didn't I do him already?

Yup.

But, this time instead of the original orange and blue, it's the back and maroon version.

(Boy, the light makes the maroon look more red that I expected.)

Anyway, just another take on this Cobra troop, using the DC Guardian Heroclix. I added a visor with green stuff and also swapped his fist for a gun hand from another mini.

This time the shield shape matches up pretty well though.
